Ok, since I read 5-6 pages in and saw nothing but people collectively stroking off Sirken, I'll actually chime in with something critical.

As Rogean and Nilbog have gotten less and less hand on in terms of enforcing rules and passing judgement on infractions, Sirken has become the de facto senior official who deals with player complaints. Sirken is also a former member of TMO, a guild central to many of those complaints. Sirken's play character was also banned in the SEQ purge.

Essentially I see Sirken being a GM as no different than someone like myself of Jeremy being made GMs, which I'm sure people would be up in arms about. Hell, let's get Modus and Abacab back here to run the show while we're at it.

We've got a box where the identities of GMs is kept secret from the player base, and simply questioning the GMs can result in punitive action. However, those same GMs who we're expected to hold above reproach have also included people like Amelinda who we very blatantly corrupt. Or Cyrius who very blatantly favored certain guilds. Their rackets were able to continue for months because anyone who was even remotely critical of them was punished. There seems to be zero oversight, especially for someone at Sirken's level.

When information like this has been posted in the past it has been deleted and the players who posted it banned.

As far as I'm concerned, the only person on this box who seems to be consistently fair is Nilbog, and that is because he doesn't get involved in all the player drama. Its too bad he doesn't care enough to be bothered with player questions/concerns anymore, because the people he's entrusted with the keys to the castle in the past few years have been suspect at best.

All that said, this is without a doubt the best box out there and even with the shady history of GMs I'd rather play here than any where else. I just think it is ridiculous that someone with a history not so different than my own is basically judge, jury and executioner with minimal, if any oversight.

Ah, makes a lot more sense why a nobody like me with a ton of free time every week and a lot of experience as a CSR gets looked over when applying to guide then. I guess if you're a nobody to them then it doesn't really matter how qualified you are to help out.

Could be that too, sure, I think that I'm probably a lot more qualified than most of the people who applied, and I don't think I'm retarded. I do think that this server has a strict friend policy when it comes to who helps out, and I think that it hurts the server more than it helps. Of all the stories that come out of you though, I really do think you're at your worst when you directly insult someone Tiggles. It's way better if you stalk them. You should go dredge up some stuff about me from the Lucid Vision forums 10 years ago, or maybe stalk my EverQuest Next subreddit posts or something.
