Real red velvet cake is much tastier than the "box of chocolate cake mix" + "red dye" junk.

Real red velvet cake is made red from.... BEET JUICE! It's really good.

1. Red Velvet Cake needs vinegar or buttermilk, otherwise the texture isn't right (that's where the velvet comes from).
2. It's not as chocolatey as normal chocolate cake.
3. The icing makes it awesome.
4. It's a Southern thing.
