Yeah for sure. Plus super high efficiency monk weapons like TStaff/RFS/IFS/Peacebringer are really easy to get, but 2HS for SK you're pretty much stuck with VP drops or epic.

I am a pvp noob. Explain. Why not joust with epic, rom, weighted axe or something along those lines. Why use noct blade or other 1h? I guess wurmslayer is solid.

Certainly seems wrong to me to stand next to a monk and just trade blows.

Until velious evens out hybrid skills with the rest of melee, if you can't snare a melee as an sk generally you won't cast on them.

Whenever you cast, you can't joust. Generally any spell you cast against a melee isn't going to be worth trading a round of dmg for and possibly getting interrupted for it. Unless you are snaring the melee, then you can cast your life taps and dots for free. Realistically, you aren't landing snares on most people above 55 who are geared with resists.

Sks are great from level 10-45ish. They suck from 45ish until whenever they get a good weapon since their dps doesn't go up like other classes.

That is why Chewie never levels up.

Most people that fight an SK will fight you as though they have only 4 bubbles of life, because they know once they get down to a certain point you can possibly harm touch kill them.

Most people will plug or gate before you can finish them off and sometimes if you ht them right away or mid fight they just decide not to fight you because they are at a disadvantage. They can escape, regen and reingage before your ht comes back up off cool down.

You can try to stun people with a sheild and bash or slam and then try to get off a quick spell but mostly your only casting when you first get in range of your target or they are out of melee range running from you or trying to kite you. Most melee will not kite you and not let you cast efficiently.

But it is extremely fun in the rare case you HT destroy someone with low life that you hate. It's like he rare rogue double back stab on a sitting caster, it feels great.

When velious hits and you get velious gear and spells, then you can mitigate hits better while casting and spells will be worth casting. You will also miss less and put out more dps.
