I don't know about enchanter mez, I don't play one.

I am repeatedly told by these dumbass mages and necros. Oh don't worry about it, my pet won't break a mez.

And then I have this red mob, that has massive threat on me. Not resisting my mezes, and the mezes breaking instantaneously. AFTER, the pet does an attack animation, the mob does a hit received animation, and the combat logs scrolls

GET YOUR GOD DAMN PET OFF THE MOB I AM MEZZING CAUSE THE HEALER IS OOM and I AM AT 12% health.

IF YOUR FUCKING PET ATTACKS IT, I LOSE HALF A YELLOW OF EXPERIENCE.

Fuck. I have been stuck in level 30 for ages cause of this. I pull, I tank, I mez, I lull, I heal. The least you can do, is have the fucken courtesy to stay the fuck out of my way and not get me killed. I would rather have you sit there like a bump on a log like you do most of the time while I am doing the tanking, the pulling and the healing. Rather than all of a sudden perk up and send your pet on a wild mission, to break every mez I cast.

Can we get a server wide message at peak hours or something to explain this to people. Cause people don't seem to get in original classic EQ pets could break mez.

I got into my first hell level, level 30 and it was going well, I thought hey these hell levels aren't so bad. But I have repeatedly run into these fucken retards who leave me to die, letting their pets run about rampant totally uncontrolled. 7 deaths later, one body I was able to get rezzed at 50%. I can't get through the damn level, not cause the experience sucks. Cause I keep running into retards.

So please, please spread the word. Pets can, and do break mez. AND NEVER, EVER let your pet be the one to break it. Let the mezzer, or the tank do the mez breaking. Cause I promise you, your pet will not pull threat off me after I have mezzed. NO your pets taunt will not work you dumbass, I promise you it will fail.

What they saying is kind of correct that they dont break mez, as in if the mob is mezzed you cannot actually send the pet on it, has a message that doesnt allow pet to attack. BUT, if the pet is on the mob and it is getting mez then yah it is breaking mez.

No what they say is ENTIRELY incorrect. A pet has the ability to break mez. It can hit a mob after its been mezzed, thereby removing the mez.

That means it DOES have the ability break mez.

Saying that they can't is ENTIRELY FALSE. Just because you can't send them on it, while they are already mezzed, does not mean they CANNOT break mez.

When you are a bard, triple mezzing. If you get ONE resist, it fucks your entire rotation and you are going to take a hit. DONT SEND YOUR PET ON IT IN THAT TWO SECONDS IT TAKES TO REMEZ THE TARGET.

Don't mez a target that has a pet on it before bitching out the pet class. bitch the pet class, get pet backed, then mez.

Target is mezzed. Mez breaks. Pet is sent. Mez reapplied. Pet then repeatedly breaks the mez as it is repeatedly reapplied as the bard desperately tries to stay alive.

I will immediately bitch out the Pet class for sending the pet, when the TANK has not attacked the mob yet.

If there is a pet on it and the pet has threat, FINE! No need to mez it. Can mez it if the pet dies. But thats not a scenario I am worried about.

Everyone is coming up with these half assed rationalizations that don't deal with the actually scenario. There is only one fix, and its simple.

DON'T SEND YOUR PET, UNTIL THE TANK BREAKS MEZ.

Its as simple as that. If mez falls off, the tank has NOT broken mez, so don't send your pet. DO NOT send your pet until mez is DELIBERATELY BROKEN by the tank. Be it the bard, or whatever other tank you are using.
