Nothing against my IB friends, because it didn't have anything to do with them personally. But I feel it was more that FE was chased away from IB, by whomever was negotiating terms. TMO was just the other logical option.
Wouldn't the other logical option be:

Stand on your own and compete against IB and TMO?

Pixels are now easily available in the casual rotation. Not enough hardcore populace to support 3 hardcore raiding guilds.

Wasn't a lot of the rhetoric in raid discussions about how there was such a huge population of people (mostly TMO) wanting to compete and how unfair it was that a minority was trying to oppress them with the raid discussions?

Now, there aren't even enough of you to field 3 viable end-game hardcore guilds?

Looks like TMOs domination really was just the concentrated effort of some 25-30 basement dwellers hellbent on being the only one to achieve pixels.

It was an option that we considered. But, the whole point of IB coming back and FE merging with FE was to make a larger guild in preparation for Velious. I don't think we wanted to go back to square one.
