So I want to buy a new game. Ideally Betrayal at house on the hill, but it is in between printings and completely sold out since the coverage on Tabletop.
Trying to decide between: Agricola 7 Wonders Carcassone Dominion Forbidden Island Lots of discussion about Settlers of Catan; does it work with 2 players? | ||

7 Wonders - Nice light party game - should probably be played with 4+ players. Carcassone - Have only played a few times, again I would imagine it would be more fun with 3+ players rather than 2 but I could be wrong, especially given that there are plenty of expansions that I have not played. Dominion - Wildly popular game - fun with 2+ players. IMHO it gets a little annoying when people stack Action/Buy after Action/Buy during their turn and you have to wait 5 minutes while they masturbate with their deck. Forbidden Island - Light weight co op game. I bought the follow up game "Forbidden Desert" and after 1 play I was fairly bored. My recommendations: Ascension - Can suffer a little bit from the same issues as Dominion but not to the same extent. Best with 2 players. Available on mobile devices. Race for the Galaxy - cream of the top - excellent game scales well 2+. Have played easily over 150+ games and one continuously learns something new. Dominant Species - Have only played 1 2p game of this but again it is incredible and with more players it can quickly become a fun chaotic mess. I believe available for the IPAD. Hive - great quick 2player game. Like chess but with bugs. Android Netrunner - Only have played about 10 games of this but I see great potential - excellent 2player only game. Designed by Richard Garfield back in the 90s and has recently been rereleased/rebooted. Would also say Small World, Puerto Rico, Container, Manhattan Project, Terra Mystica and Ascending Empires for 3+ people. Enjoy!
