And you can play legally from the US, there are a few sites that offer. The only thing that is illegal is for banks to process payments, but that has nothing to do with you. I'd recommend americas cardroom, haven't heard of anyone being stiffed and I know a few yrs back those games were pretty soft.

Wait so can you elaborate? How does one cash out if you can't process payments?

I forget the specifics (been some yrs), but it is 100 perc possible (done it a few times). Basically the difference is that its harder to get funds onto these sites, and getting them off is not a problem at all, but it usually takes something like 3-4 weeks to get the cash in hand. Not the most ideal situation but its workable if you really want to play.
