Don't play there with any expectations of it being like classic. All of the spawns and node placement are stock database from what I've seen. Not sure how resistances for spells are working, but melee damage is disproportionately high.

Not sure about item drops yet, haven't cared enough to pixel farm much besides crushbone, but 8 kills on undead knight in unrest yielded 0 BS mantles and tunics.

Real OG's roll with crookstingers tho. Cwall knows whats up.

P.S. new servers always start out fun regardless. Come pvp it up Derublah.

yeah this is pretty accurate, PvE is much easier due to much higher damage on spells and much higher damage/hitrates on melee, but drops from non-raid mobs seem to be much rarer and often times nothing will drop at all

hard to comment on resists since no one really has access to resist gear yet, but i think with gear nukes will be fairly easy to resist, but on the flip side they do a lot more damage than on red99

tl;dr custom-classic everquest but receives a LOT more attention from the developers than red99, much less serious atmosphere

If it is anything like the last server PvE drops in classic zones are much rarer but the placeholders never spawn. In Kunark rare items drop very easily and frequently for some reason.

Melee was way overpowered and I think rogues even got triple hits.

Still the case. Drops are fucked on more than just named though, and the spawn frequency doesn't seem to justify how rare some things are.

This is true. I killed at least 50 evil eyes on LoZ before giving up on a manastone. Pretty sure I quit soon after.
