I think we're going to go to The Melting Pot. Fondue is way fun, but way too expensive for anything other than a special occasion. So this will be our one fondue experience of the year. Plus this is our ~first Valentine's Day~ so I don't feel bad about splurging a bit. Ordered him a few neat things earlier today, too.

Then we're going to go see The Monument's Men after that (comes out on the 14th!). Then.... a romantic evening of League of Legends and vodka after that perhaps? Glad it's on a Friday night.
Sounds like a fun night. Have a good time. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Rome has been on my to-watch list for a while now. Have heard very, very good things.
And yes, it's an awesome show. Season 2 was a bit rushed because they were canceling it but I still loved it. Whoever was in charge of the cast's wardrobe deserved an award. An amazing job. Made me wish Roman style for ladies would come back around.

Yeah... I got sick of the price so I bought my own fondue set and the Melting Pot cookbook.
When we have company my wife pulls out the set and makes the beer cheese from Melting Pot. Always a hit.

You've never had fondue? It's a must-try. At the Melting Pot you get to do a cheese fondue course, and entree course (raw meat + hot oil), and a chocolate fondue course.

One of my favorite "bitches of Rome" scene. (No spoiler)

Don't do Bourguignonne cooking style... try the Coq Au Vin!

Coq Au Vin every time. Maybe I'll make Naez try to pronounce it to the server.

Whoever is paying gets to pronounce Coq Au Vin however they want to. If the server corrects you, accuse him/her of loving "the Coq".

The Melting Pot was close to our old office before we moved downtown. I'm not a big fan of the cuisine, but its a neat place and they do it well.

Interesting Roman history in your post. I go crazy over anything about ancient Rome. They facinate me, those Romans. HBO's "Rome" still one of the best shows ever created.
Lucius Vorenus is my hero. Nothing better than watching him distribute his version of justice with impunity. I miss that show.
