Pick a soloing class as your "cash cow" and then switch to a "main" class. A wizard is a decent cash cow class that you said you wanted to play, and they are also extremely mobile with their ports (which will allow you to make trades with remote locations; extremely valuable).
In fact, starting out with a druid or wizard is a good idea. Both are easier to gear than most classes, and once you get near 40 you can drop either, sell their gear, and gear out a main while retaining a porter to be used to ferry goods to and from your main.
