From what I've read on the forums (word of mouth) etc, enchanters are going to have a bad time in Velious compared to Kunark... less charmable mobs around, and apparently they're confined more to giving out clarity and buffing/slowing. I don't believe it however [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
Expect to see a throng of SKs/rangers/paladins/bards once the hybrid penalty disappears and they're declared easy mode [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

When Velious came out, my main was an enchanter. I never solo'ed on that enchanter, and didn't get past level 40 or so, but mobs generally have much more hp and higher resistances in Velious. In a group setting, that even makes them more useful since fights last longer, so adds become even more of a problem.
In crystal caverns I felt game-breaking as an enchanter (could deal with 10+ dark blue pulls). Sadly I don't have much more experience in group situations as an enchanter other than fighting in crystal caverns. So no clue how things change at higher levels.

Bards continue to be awesome

Less RSI. 2+ minute selo's. Yay.
Further, Velious was my practice ground for the old-fashioned swarm kiting (aggroing a bunch, charming one, sending it in, let mobs beat on it and break charm as late as possible and finish it off, not the silly thing which they call swarm kiting now), which I heard is no longer possible on p99.

One character per account

After playing on Sullon Zek and Firiona Vie, I really liked this rule. It forces you to play one character, make a choice and go with it. And makes you feel attached to that choice.
Just to put this in perspective, I want my main on p99 to be a cleric, so I'm playing a necro mostly on a different continent, level up my bard now and then, going to use my bard to give my cleric a shining star of light, track for bloodsaber quests etc. However, I haven't logged on my main at all yet, only reserved the name.
On the server I played at in the past, which was Sullon Zek, I had to choose between giving up a near max-level player on one team, because the strongest guild in that team in the current meta at that time became too powerful and started crossteaming and was likely to pretty much take over the server. So I deleted my character which I was really fond of to join the opposite team and joined the guild which before hand was my toughest opponent.
This will never be implemented on p99 I assume (and shouldn't, it's not classic), but I really think the one-character limit is a good thing, in any MMO. Force people to focus and become attached and stick to 1 character. I think Sullon Zek and Firiona Vie would never have been as fun to players as they were if that limit was never in place.
