Same issue here. Glad to hear (sorta) that others are having the same problem.. as I thought something was wrong with my PC.

Sumamry of attempts to zone-in/log-in to loio / eq between ~11:15pm and 11:45pm EST

Attempt 1 @11:15PM: Portasaurus (zone-in from FM to LOIO), game crashed completely

Attempt 2 @11:19PM: Portasaurus (loio),freeze for ~1 minute while logging-in, boot back to password prompt

Attempt 3 @11:22PM: Portasaurus (loio),freeze for ~1 minute while logging-in, boot back to password prompt

Attempt 4 @11:25PM: Greengrocer (ecommons), immediately got a really weird message saying You have reached an IP Limit [0 UNKNOWN CLASS] with a naked human on my screen.

Attempt 5 @11:28PM: Greengrocer (ecommons), Successful login!

Attempt 6 @11:30PM: Portasaurus (loio), freeze for ~1 minute while logging-in, boot back to password prompt

Attempt 7 @11:33PM: Portasaurus (loio), freeze for ~1 minute while logging-in, boot back to password prompt

Attempt 8 @11:35PM: Portasaurus (loio), freeze for ~1 minute while logging-in, boot back to password prompt

11:37PM ##Rebooted PC##

Attempt 9 @11:39PM: Portasaurus (loio), client froze completely, needed to task/kill eqgame.exe

Attempt 10 @11:41PM: Greengrocer (ecommons), Successful login!

Attempt 11 @11:42PM: Portasaurus (loio), freeze for ~1 minute while logging-in, boot back to password prompt

Conclusion: Something's fucked up with loio.

I don't know if its just LOIO.

I've crashed every time I /camp to char select, about half the time I zone as well.

This only started after the last patch.

Check tech discussion forums, tons others having similar issues since patch.

I just wanted to throw my 2 cents back in here if its of any help. I believe the ISP inquiry was the right road when asked of earlier. I only played EQ tonight because I could not work. I work from home through a VPN. All my things were good except one tool I use that pulls info from a central server out there.

My point is that once the issue keeping me from getting into PJ99 EQ resolved itself I was also able to go out and get info reliably from my vpn that was also giving me trouble. This was not a LOIO or PJ99 thing, but more of a interwebz/isp kind of thing.

FYI: MY isp is BrightHouse

This for sure.

It has been happening to me on all my characters, in NRO, Firiona, OT, Oasis, just to name a few.

(Edit) - I have Cox internet - 25mbs.

I was able to successfully access Lake of Ill Omen last night when I took my laptop to someone else's house who uses Comcast (or xFinity or whatever it's called) for their internet.

I am back on my regular Verizon FIOS connection now, and I am currently logged into Portasaurus (in ecommons). I would be willing to guinnea-pig myself into LOIO if a guide could put me there to test it out (That's actually where I want to be if my ISP would allow it).
