The way it works is, a shaman with grea gear can kill 99% of stuff. An enchanter might only be able to kill 97% of stuff, but the chanter can do so with normal gear and much less hassle than a sham can. Totally agree. Don't mean to take any credit away from your awesome solo artist challenge resume Tecmos. When i'm working my way through a dungeon I just wish so badly that I could mezz / lull some mobs to make the process easier.

That's one thing, chanters can break spawns so much easier than shamans. All we have for CC is roots, and as soon as you cast one the whole room is on your ass.

CC park, log in log out (have ip exemption and log in with 2nd box if you have) and you can split it on the walk back, pathing willing. Does require you to be able to handle the initial rape, but there's also rechargable FD from sky. It's just a bit more hassle on a shaman [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Trying to split groups of level 50+ harmtouchers and casters with roots? Recharging a 2-charge ring with a lore battery that you can only get in sky? Compared to lulling? That's more than "a bit more hassle" imo!

Fairly certain the using a second box to instant-poof yourself with an ip exemption is illegal.

I have no idea how this works, but Im guessing its not legal. I do have an ip exemption for when my gf decides to play though. Which is never.

If someone attempts to log in to your account while you're playing it instantly boots you (and your character) out of the game. If you have an IP exemption you can log into your own account to get yourself out of a lot of sticky situations. I know people used to use this to train raids because their character would poof out and be safe leaving all the angry mobs on top of the other party.
