IPY 1 was wiped due to a Dirty whistle gm. Not sure what happened to ipy v2.0.


UO is a better game then EQ, but their is rampant cheaters on IPY and cheats make a lot more of a difference.

Items break via use and it is full item loot when you die. Therefore, one cannot pay to win. The one exception is the glass scimitar (costs exactly 1,500 gold which is insane) and can only be used once before it breaks never to be used again.

The primary focus of the game is pvp and not pve.

On red99 /played is largely > skill in pvp. UO rewards skill and creativity.

For instance, we had one guy with no combat skills on his character. He was a lumberjack/carpenter. His contribution during battles was to manufacture boxes and furniture which barricaded all the bridges within our city to slow down enemy forces.
