Anyway if you take your little government spending slider and spend it on frivioulous shit like prophibition or trademarks and copywright your going to get a more corrupt society faster than if they focus directly on public works/building/social programs/law (but like law that protects freedom/individuals over groups/institutions)
THat shit has been way out of balance for 50 years and now were down near the bototm of the slippery slope. There's no controlling this.
Sure we get a few bits of progress here and there? Some politician was trying to do something about software patents, but they are probably never going to have enough momentum to de-syndicate the cell phone market from 3-4 big players.
