There is no official standpoint on this because situations vary so differently from situation to situation. If you strip/scam/be a douchebag, I will probably ban you. If you are stripped/scammed/being a douchbag, I will probably ban the person who did it and tell you you are shit out of luck.

In the cases of people being scammed, items can be returned. In some cases, they can not. That's the plain and simple answer. Not ALL scams are cut-and-dry. There are different factors that play into every scenario.

If you have been stripped, then its your own fault for trusting someone in this community of rockstar clean whistles and, as far as I am concerned, you're at fault and deserve your losses.

What about if person steals several accounts, takes part in stripping others and then milks his former guild bank and RMTs much of said pixels while this player and others openly admit to their deeds for over half a year and, adding insult to injury, also disseminate private player information publicly on these forums?

If another was to hypothetically take offense to such crimes and delete such a persons character, should that person be permanently banned on 4 accounts while the party guilty of all the above offenses has everything restored?

Hypothetical situation of course, I did not actually have 4 accounts banned for doing this.

What did Mellow RMT? Every single item of value he got such as Shield of the Immaculate, etc., are all still on his account? He also had part ownership with Batlle in those characters. How did he "milk" the guild bank? He had THE highest DKP in the guild, he earned every single pixel.

Yes, he tried to prank / troll me into entrapment by "selling" a fungi staff that he never ended up selling and that probably he never intended on selling. So again, what items did he RMT? I do know some people who have RMTed though and they currently wear nihilum guild tags. Would you feel justified in deleting and stripping their accounts as well?
