Dealing with the entire zone repopping at the same time would be problematic for a single group.

Not fair for the AOE group to lock the zone down though - what if a group wants to XP in a part of the zone that gets pulled by the AOE group?

The problem is that there is literally always an AoE group in there. I've been on at 3am and they are still going. The window where I would be able to acquire 5 friends and get in there to set up is so slim and even then I'm pretty sure that they would just pull mobs over us and probably get us killed anyway.
I decided to make a monk as a first toon; so please no one use the cop out of 'just farm the money and buy it'. Coming across 10k for me takes a while and I really would like to be able to do all the turns ins myself. I like the feeling of doing my epic quest with as little outside help as possible.

This is how all epics should be... quested and not MQ'ed.

Don't pay the 10k, hold firm and take a group in there to get it. Tell the AOE group what you're up to... they can't object as you can't call a whole zone as your camp.

Are you guilded? Your guild should be able to help?

My guild wouldn't have a problem helping me, I just don't want to subject friends of mine to unnecessary headaches for things that benefit me alone (i.e. my buddies likely dying to pulls from AoE'ers) and I don't like to step on toes (taking mobs I'm sure the AoE'ers want). From 1-50 I met a lot of nice people, started running into a lot of dickheads lately as I crept past 52 so I'm pretty leery on the higher level zones that are more popular.

El do get on tonight we'll go get this shit in and done son. i need an epic drop here too that 100% isnt pulled by AoE groups. We'll get some lewts, epic drops, maybe perhaps have some pancakes
