Faction armor will be obtainable by everyone, which gives quite a few good pieces. Not to mention dozens of great quest items, drops from dragons in ww/dn and a lot of gear from kunark which will no longer be farmed. 2h from tantor, exquisite velium, PoG armor, list goes on and on.

If you're comparing best in slot vulak items with everything else, yes theres a disparity, but thats end of end game.

Isn't that kinda what you're doing now? Guessing by the grandmaster tag you're doing alright...

And yes the gear difference will grow in Velious, but I don't know if I'd go as far as saying it will be impossible to compete. Wizard nukes still do the same damage.

They won't do the same damage because resists will be fixed to where wizards are forced to use lures. So damage will go down while HPs go up dramatically with Velious gear.

We're talking about different things. You're speaking to relative damage compared to now, I'm talking about gear making a difference with damage dealt - my point being that the best and worst geared casters will still do the same amount of damage in a single spell cast.
