I would think that since this time around, it's free/donations supported server, people would take their time with their characters and really have the community as the focus of their play.

On the forums, this is not apparant.

On the actual server, I've met tons of cool people like the OP who are there to enjoy the game as well as to relax and help others too. There's no luclin/pop/etc expansions to get into the EQ rat race for anymore.

I think this is what Classic EQ server is all about and anyone new checking out the forums for the first time to decide on whether playing on here or not should realize that forums does not really showcase the vibe of the actual server.

Besides, real life already has us in a rat race, lol.

I bet that there're more cool stories like the first post.
