Honestly, you should really watch a few good westerns and get back to me on that. The pacing on most of them is deliberate. They can be absolutely fascinating. Ain't no doubt that they will never make a comeback in the current movie climate, and would be too expensive to do correctly on TV and keep it a period piece.

Hell Breaking Bad had taken a ton of themes from westerns and blended it in.
Except that I hate westerns regardless. The only one that I had ever enjoyed was Tombstone and that was probably just because of Kurt Russell. I like any movie that he stars in. I'm pretty sure it's something about the setting that I dislike as the closest thing to a western I've enjoyed recently was Django Unchained (yes I realize that it's not a western but it's the same time period etc.. Keyword 'closest')

If you can watch a hundred thousand hours of silly high school otaku bullshit, You can invest some time learning something about movie and characterization.
Highschool slice of life is a fraction of 1% of what otaku culture has to offer. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Learning about film is boring, I partook in a bit of it in the past, they ended up forcing me to watch Manos, The Hands of Fate. Never again.
