Oh I see, the game is only fun when it is hard. Yes, haven't heard that one before.

There's a whole bunch wrong with this statement. One, the game isn't hard at all. It's just tedious. Monotonous. A grind. That isn't fun. Launching the server without an exp bonus + exp loss actually killed the server. It's really sad you're arguing for more blue grinding.

If you think that grinding is the spirit of EQ you're sorely wrong. EQ was about teamwork and exploring zones together, which exp bonus helps people do in the small amount of hours they can play.
I disagree. I think xp has encouraged people to not have teamwork. Or roll and play interdependent classes. Everyones first char is mage, necro, wiz, druid.

And now bards are pretty popular. Its a huge turn off for anyone who doesn't particularly "love" those classes and doesn't want to devote game to farming items to play a class. Would just rather "play the game".

We have a disagreement that stems from two entirely different perspectives on the game. For you it seems this is just a "combat simulation". In some ways it is and its so simple a child can master it. Yet I would go so far as to say that how you reach the end point of that simulation, and what you do when you are there is greatly influenced by how fast xp is.

Yes because nothing is going to make someone roll a warrior like slowing down exp rates.

If we assume your arguement is correct then then appropriate action would be to incentivize grouping by say; increasing the group exp bonus.

That being said, lowering the exp rate past what it is currently on red99 would be a very big mistake for teams99.
