bump....they absorbed both types of damage on live. It wasn't until Protection of Calrena (which actually stacked) did we have one specifically for spell absorption.
Also note - Leatherskin, Steelskin, etc did NOT absorb DoT damage. Only DD spells, and melee damage. | ||

I don't remember that line of spells aborbing spell damage, but admittedly I could be mistaken. I thought spellshield was the first spell to prevent any spell damage (that a wizard could cast).
Like I said, I could be wrong, but I think I would remember it preventing spell damage since I played on a pvp server and pretty much had to run around fully buffed at all points to survive [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] | ||
