Multiquesting is as classic as 3 hour CRs and boat rides. Taking it out would be ridiculous.

I dont care that people are doing it or that people have advantages from having started earlier and/or putting in more play time...All MMOs have that and people who play a lot and got started earlier shouldn't be faulted for playing the game. People who have put in more time or started earlier should be rewarded for their efforts and time spent and if they want to use that to their advantage, who can really blame them? Most people would. Kunark's been out for 2 years....People have to have something to do so some are MQing epics.

The rub, for me, is that a lot of folks on the high end got a head start before the server was as "classic" as it is now. They got to level faster and acquire gear they wouldn't have live because there were non-classic features and mechanics available. When I started here 3 years ago there were translocators because the boats hadn't been put in, a compass, and map functionality etc, etc. All those little conveniences add up over time to a major advantage. An advantage that newer players will never have. The changes and nerfs that constantly come along to make the server more classic are great, but they don't undo the damage to the economy, the advantage that has given some people and, arguably, widen the gap even further. It's unavoidable.

Couple that with the fact that, until last week, you could legitimately sell your accounts to other players for in-game plat. Something that was NEVER remotely permitted on live. So they fixed it. Did they take back the plat that people got from selling their accounts? They can't, obviously, but how much of all of the above has compounded the problem?

All of which is why, after velious is out for quite a while and all the kinks are worked out, I hope we have a new server at some point.

Money has talked way before the time of Christ. Sorry if you don't have money, or like money. You can live in a cardboard box under a bridge. Lots of peeps do.

When I lived in NYC I was walking home from work one night and passed a homeless guy laying in a refigerator box. Jerking off.

Instantly had a picture of that guy on a laptop playing EQ. Thanks! :P

Well said. And if you don't feel like waiting in line then go camp something else and sell that item. Then buy the MQ.
You miss the damage that MQ does entirely. It has nothing and everything to do with the economy.

You can't complete the camp, ever. Why? because someone who has no use for the item is camping it to sell for cash. It distorts the game and turns it into an economic simulator.

The game shouldn't be about how many hill giants you can slaughter to buy a FBSS. It should be about going to the deepest dungeon and slaying a foul foe and being rewarded.

I ran through South Ro a few days ago to see a bard camping the AC.

Let me say that again:

A bard camping the AC.

If that doesn't bother you, then you're playing the wrong game.

First, even bards need instant clickies.

Secondly, what makes EQ great is that you can play how you want. All this BS about play how you want in modern and next gen MMOs...total nonsense. EQ had real freedom when it came to how you interacted with the world and community.

If you have a problem with someone camping the AC because you don't think they should then you are probably playing the wrong game.

I have Jboots on my bard. It helps a lot in situations where selos might run out or if I need to go into a dungeon.

Jboots on your bard is the best investment you can make.

Can AoE kite without twisting any speed songs.
And what zander said
