Game Mechanics: Items that proc "Cleanse"

As Bamzal said only the Shining Star of Light quested through qeynos rodcet nife temple, should have this effect.

Not sure our server time line wise but originally the shining star of light had 1 charge of cleric str buff which could be recharded at said temple like the prayer beads with 2 heal charges.

When should it be changed ? It is currently a proc and not charged, but Whysia Flock to this day on eqlive talks about recharging it.

I have a note to myself to try to recharge on live/eqmac , but I don't possess one.

No it was not Widely known . I discovered it during my play time on EQmac.

I was doing bunch of old school quests just because I enjoyed doing that. when I ran across the posting talking about recharging of shining star of light back when it was single charge of the cleric/paly strength buff. I got curious and turned in the shining star of light I had just completed to see if I would get the old school version. The NPC told me what was required to recharge and so I did it, sadly only was current version of shining star of light I got back 8).

So I had already used my 2 charges on my prayer beads when I was leveling up Glunier and had them just sitting in bank and got the idea to try same thing as I did with shining star of light ( turn in item to merchant and see what she would say ) I was very surprised to find that she would recharge the beads. keep recharging them as they where extremely useful for more than a few levels. stopped when I left karana's area as it was not convenient to run back to qeynos to recharge them.

not sure when It was changed to cleanse ill have research it.

I do remember discussing with guild at time in live that cleanse was changed prior to luclin expansion release due to fact that original version would remove all disease /poison / and possible curse counters and was deemed to powerful a weapon effect for its level. never actually followed through and found proof of this.
