I was actually discussing this with some RL friend's over the weekend at a birthday party. Birthday Boy asked if we brought our computers so we could LAN EQ. He was joking, but we then got into this whole discussion. I know this is R&F, but Im very interested in this as having a *cough*teenager**coughomgIamoldcough* who would like to play when the Spousal Unit and I already play, it'd be nice to know.

you gotta understand Drzombie, the floodgates would open if you allowed IP Exemptions to everyone. Boxing is fine on live because SoE gets your $(2), but here it really digs into the community because suddenly 1 person can handle an entire "contested" camp (Lguk stuff, Solb) by themselves.
It's extremely frowned on here. Kash and I have definitely been petitioned about because we've even been checked up on and thankfully "okay-ed" but the fact that a GM went out of his way to prevent a multi box scenario should cleanly demonstrate the attitude toward it on P99. If you're a troll however, you got me. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I used to play eq2 with a few friend via lan all the time, and it was WAY more fun than just sitting at home playing eq2.
OPs post sucks anyway...sorry :P

The flaw in this rule is of course anyone with 2 rigs and a router can say "Hey, my wife wants to play" and the only people at a disadvantage are people like me who are honest.
