GMs worked in an office, Guides generally were volunteers that logged in via a modded client. I was in the guide system for about a year (on Rathe). I swear like 90% of level 1 petitions required saying "sorry, there's nothing we can do in this type of situation". they were all.. "where can i get X item?" "i died and i don't know where my corpse is" "i'm lost, help!" and "i accidently vendored/destroyed/tradeskill combined X item (that there's no history of having in my item log!) can i get another one?!"
