Worst DDoS experience gets 20k

I'm not a lowbie by any means but I thought I'd share my DDoS experience.

Disclaimer: I am aware that ground transferring items is dumb and completely unsafe, ESPECIALLY during server lag. But I have balls of steel, and my story begins..

On Friday July 12, 2013 at 10:00pm CST I attempted an item transfer in Lesser Faydark between two of my characters. During this time I had no idea what the server was in for over the next couple of days. It was right as the attacks that night started, but I had enough confidence that my transfer would go as planned seeing as I logged and relogged numerous times between the spikes. Needless to say, all of my items were lost while trying to relog after dropping.
