a new hope definitely the best of the 6, imo.
best story, best introduction and development of the characters, best action. its just a superior movie compared to the other 5.
Empire strikes back a close second, jedi obviously 3rd, revenge of the sith 4th and episodes 1 and 2 dont even rank.

My 32 year old brother hasn't seen any of them and has no desire to. It's really weird.
And it's rare to see someone else prefer ANH to ESB like myself. I find it's the most "pure" of the stories, before Lucas started forcing plot twists like Vader is Luke's father and Leia is his sister.
