For everything bad Monsanto does more people are being fed due to higher crop yield and without that it would be bad news...

Overpopulation is a myth. You should look into Thomas Malthus to see where this started. It is however a great justification for many corporations and governments to craft policies that make you pay for the privilege of being alive or to impose more restrictions.

Artificial scarcity is something many industries use as a means to drive up prices and profit (diamonds, oil, etc) We probably throw away enough food in America to feed the rest of the world.
