no one will ever see the others point. period. (no matter how silly it may be to stick to the words in the bible like a blind zealot. or any religious text for that matter).

Religion serves an effective purpose (as it always has). To explain the unknown (ie, death, creation), to establish a basic moral code and guidance in everyday life, and to fill a void within us that may otherwise go unfulfilled with spirituality.

When it accomplishes this, fantastic. When we get things like scientology, mormonism, the crusades, religious muslim jihad, any sort of ethnic cleansing, and the catholic church (those guys are fucking *bastards*, look it up), that's when i start wanting to gather up all those people and have their brains rewired.
