Sony did it without Fraps. Fuck, Sony did it without anyone on their staff having an IQ over 90! 30 seconds is a 'whole lot of video' when you're trying to avoid the train. Most people don't even realize what happened until it's all over, and by then a video is kinda useless. It IS your job to enforce the server rules. If people have multiple offenses of being asshats in game, why even let them continue playing?
This has been dealt with before. Sony banned people who were innocent because it was easy to forge evidence against them. Also, to act like Sony enforced the rules against trainers all the time is just laughable - I was in highpass and had a monk FD train me twice and brag about it to the entire zone back in 2001, and there was no justice for him, despite all of the evidence against him (screenshots, his /shout that he trained some poor lowbie, the dozen or so people who read that /shout, etc.) I honestly forget what the GM's response was when I petitioned it (I believe it was something to the effect of intentional training actually not being against the rules (which, if true, is just dumb) but the GM may have just told me that I didn't have enough proof).
