![]() today's front page message warmed my heart.
I know, I'm mainly a lurker who has a little lvl 30 enchanter I log on to adventure with periodically. But I, like many "casuals" here, am in fact old school. Sadre the Enchanter goes back to 1999, and has always been in either eq1, eq2, prog server, or here. And yes, I killed Trakanon while some of you freaks were still anglin for the sweet camp spot on your mommies nip. But all that aside, it takes courage to set hard rules. There is a class of player who wants to run rampant, to have no rules, or who wants to be able to get away with breaking them because they will "leave and take many with me" if you "threaten" how they want to play. It is a hard move. I do not envy the GM's, despite my usual snarky comments (it's eq rofl). total tip of the hat. I will allow other, more in-game players debate how adequate or right this action is. But really, my admittedly old fashioned view? Way, way, way too much plat on this server. Someone gave me 5k when I was level 10. Of course, THANK YOU, but that was weird, unexpected, and the "good side" of something which has a dark side too. kudos to the staff. Makes me want to log on. Maybe tonight [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Gotta run to work right now tho lol.
