I'm just going to end this by saying that you're clearly trying to defend a point that you've dug yourself far too deep into defending, and probably don't want to yield at this point in fear of looking silly among your internet peers.

In my entire experience of raiding in EQ with voice chat (which began a little before I joined p99 on Dalaya), I decided that speaking into Everquest was a whole next-level of nerdiness. Being too awesome IRL to breach that line, I did my thing where I'm good at Everquest and people were all, "please Glitch/[whatever my dalaya name was], please talk to us, u so enigmatic n shit, y u so mysterious",

and I was like, "no."
