I can name about 20 things right now, that are not classic. Yes it has a classic feel, and thats all great. If verant left classic to just classic and not fixed anything at all to get more players playing there then EQ would not of been a hit like it was, It would of died down like P99 is.

This is a EMU server. God forbid something happens to rogean, server is done. If it crashes or he just pulls the plug, its done. This isnt live, its now a days, people are older, but a strong fan of the everquest game. Lets have some fun, since p99 can do whatever the hell they want. Make IT FUN and population will come back. Im not talking macroquest and instant 50 but this current system needs to be tweaked big time, rules in a pvp server are way different for a reason. good luck poopsocking in your moms basement for a emu account.

Yeah it's not 100% classic, because they are taking a buggy ass blank slate of a server and trying to make it close to classic, it's never going to be classic again but this is as close as it gets and I would like it to stay that way.

Now you're saying since it's a private server it's not worth anything, because it will all be over one day? That's true of every single game that is out right now. With that mind set, what is the point of playing any game? It's all just pixels that will be deleted eventually, no matter which game it is, emu or not. The point is you play cause you want to have fun, I like to be able to put some time into my games and actually continually see progress. Instead of going to the same 10 maps shooting at terrorists to get the same gun that has been on FPS games since 2000. The former, for me, is fun. The latter, (from what I am gathering) seems to be fun to you. There are EZ servers made for the exact reasons you post. There are classic emus made for the reasons I post, why do you have to have the whole gaming world under the reign of the "casual-everyone-gets-a-trophy" empire that plagues gaming today? Can't there be any bastions for hardcore players?
