I thought it was because my CHA was not max.... but now several months of punishing, grinding, painful (that about sums it,) life i now have good gear and things are no different. I was under the impression we were following a Timeline. And much later in the Timeline, ENCs sucked -- NURFed.

Overpowered/broken stuff is not supposed to be in the game even if it was classic. You don't see necros running around with a pet wielding 2 FS daggers do you?
Also, if this was classic, rogues would have crappy backstab damage and essentially do warrior dps.
A couple months ago when charm was more reliable that wasn't how classic was. I never, ever saw enchanters soloing guk camps on my server, let alone efreeti, FGs, and planes.

And with charm, massively overpowered. Why should you have reliable control over a mob with 4x a warrior's hps and 2x a rogue's dps?
