He currently requires you to sneak before he responds to "I challenge Eejag". He also seems to be way more rare than when on live - on live he was basically always up.

fought here for 3 hours to get through lvl 15 and all 30 or so i killed coned even

Killed about 15 last night, and several more the previous day.

~30 in 3 hours, 15 in a single night, either way, nothing like it is currently. It currently seems to take 25-40 minutes to spawn.
