Although it can be very efficient, I found it much easier to just start dot kiting mobs.
Magic, Fire, Frost chant + snare. Walk in a circle playing those for 50 seconds. Rinse and repeat with other blue mobs. But to be honest, I always felt that Jete was a very experienced charmer.
