Are we talking about faction as in,

Player A sits near guards, player B attacks player A, guard kills player B because Player A has better faction? If so yes.

Also it is very very very classic, on all pvp servers, I think or it may have only been the racial team servers. When you slay a player you would lose faction to that home city. IE if a high elf killed an erudite, they would take a faction hit for erudin. I know for sure this persisted through kunark, me and a buddy had a squabble in lake of ill omen lvling, i killed him and took a erudin faction hit. This was later changed to only taking a faction hit if you kill a player in there home city. IE you kill a wood elf in gfay, kelethin hates you more. This was eventually taken out, however it will make faction useful and meaningful, please consider this.
Faction hits for cities when killing players in any zone actually sounds like a very good idea. It would go a long way toward decreasing mindless griefing. Would this be possible? Even better would be to base it off of race, class and deity. IE: PKing a gnome necro reduces Ak'Anon guard faction and Dark Reflection faction.

Again, no idea if it would be doable. But damn would it be awesome! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
