I hate reddit and watch dogs but I do agree with this. The fear normies have of how social media fucked up their kids because they were such shitty parrents. Causes us to accept that it's too dangerous to give the public free use of AI granting those that control it and corporations the right use a better one. Effectively creating a techno caste problem, that likely will end really badly. A select chosen few controlling information is a thing our society hasn't had to deal with in hundreds of years. When we did, it resulted in the murder of anyone who was able to figure out information on their own. It's a very dangerous problem with AI: Allow anyone to learn now to build an at home nuke reactor... and prevent people from curing cancer in their bedroom. The problem is, we'll stop people from building nukes at home, but have given the cure to cancer to people that will monetize it. I don't personally have a solution for this native Ai problem, other than giving people the ability to make nukes and accept it's our responsibility as a society to hope people dont. | ||
