Screen impossibly DARK in windowed mode

I want to play in windowed mode so I can use my second monitor to look up maps, items etc. Full screen distorts my second monitor for whatever reason and I can't figure it out. Unfortunately, when in windowed mode, the game is SO dark. I attached a screenshot from nighttime where you can't see a thing and then a phone pic (screenshot didnt work in full screen) from full screen mode where you can see it looks great. I have tried adjusting gamma and the compatibility settings (included a screenshot of that as well). Anyone know how to fix this? Is yours this bad too?? [You must be logged in to view images.
