Heard about this

It was supposedly 8v1(!) and they were attempting to carjack a woman. To rush into those odds unarmed is very brave and honorable, but I think this is one of those times where the line between bravery and stupidity gets very blurry

What would be the result if he didn’t? The car gets stolen? Ok report it stolen, not a huge deal, not worth risking your life. To my knowledge the woman wasn’t getting seriously hurt (although I could be wrong on this)

If the woman was getting hurt, I think it’s no longer dumb to attempt to intervene, but at 8v1 odds it would be the same as trying to defend her from a tiger. You could be a hero, but the only way is going to be to get mauled yourself and MAYBE she gets free. Or maybe she still dies right after you

This also a scenario where I wonder if it would have been good or a nightmare to have a gun. Teen boys in a group of 8 are still dumb enough to maybe not be frightened away by the sight of a gun. So you have to shoot a few if they come at you? Killing multiple teens would be a complete legal nightmare and political firestorm

So this was a lose-lose scenario no matter how you slice it. Just my thoughts. Bad parents create bad kids
