Not just candy, but THJ game them the entire candy store. They are spoiled rotten.
It's a different mentality, which is why I play on p99 and had no interest in THJ - but to someone like me, I can't understand the joy of playing a game basically in God mode.
The grind of classic EQ is what makes me enjoy the progression and achievments so much. To each their own, I suppose.
