and people are going to use Gemini because it's Google and they can (i assume) not let you use a different LLM with your Gmail and other Google services if they want to, and do what Apple did with the walled in garden approach to retaining users.

Gemini on my phone constantly interdicts me talking to the speaker to set a laundry timer.
