A guy on an island writes a series of news letters.

An he mentions a secret code for a world leader that died 30 years prior.

But that code is not ever once linked to that guy for almost 2 thousand years.

Then, suddenly, as soon as we invent the atomic bomb someone figures out, "ohhh the bible says the devil already came!"
