Is the idea that each reality can contain multiple simulations (and each of those can have sub nested simulations), ergo simulations outnumber realities and of we imagine we are randomly inserted into one of these experiences then it is most likely we end up in the most common category, ie a simulated one?

yeah, the math works out to be like basically the odds of winning the powerball is your chance of being in reality_01 and not simulation_387453456 or whatever
it's a thought experiment you can't disprove and math agrees with it
