Brad will always be a legend. He followed a similar path to John Romero in that he changed video game history, lost the company he founded, and failed spectacularly when he tried to recover from that loss. Big deal. We all fuck up, but most of us never succeed on a high enough level to be granted the opportunity to fuck up on as grand a scale as Brad or John.
Long live Brad. I hope Pantheon honors his legacy.

Brad wasn't the sole reason why Everquest got big, infact it was Smedley of all people who pushed for it being fully 3D and even hired Brad in the first place. Same way that Romero wasn't the sole contributor of the success of Wolfeinstein 3D, Doom or Quake but due to a combination of people like John Carmack, Tom Hall, Adrian Carmack, Sandy Peterson, American Mcgee ect...
Brad wasn't this insurmountable genius and almost 18 years later I won't forget how horribly he managed Sigil while battling a drug addiction.
I already paid $100 for the CE of Vanguard in Jan 2007. Not paying $40 for an early access of another pre-alpha. Never again.
