EQ-atlas was more than just a map site. Its style was not only to provide maps, but also provide detailed zone descriptions and world-building background. When no such background was available, the writer created his own in the appropriate style. As years passed and the site owner gradually lost interest in EQ, these zone descriptions become noticeably shorter and shorter with passing expansions until eventually the addition of new content ended entirely. That type of site represents the imagination and role-playing that is somewhat lost with the use of modern-style fact-based wikis and datagathering sites. Nobody today will worry about or look for a supposed sea monster in lake rathe; instead they can check the wiki, see no such sea monster exists, and go about their business.
So the "Temple of Prexus" bit would come either from the imagination of the EQAtlas guy, or from a player guide?

I really need to buy those guides or find them online. Does anyone know if scans are available?
