It's like DOTA also in a way, once you reach a certain MMR you're with a bunch of nerds who watch youtube pros and "esports lol" shit. So if you don't pick the meta, or fairly close you eat 4 reports by south americans all day.
I was going pos 5 Lone druid, winning lanes by harassing, then going rat build and just ending (aghs/deso/mask of madness type shit) I went like 15-0? Or something dumb, but I ate 4 reports every game and people would cry and give up and like not play. Eventually I went LP and just stopped doing it, but my win rate was 100% with that strat lol.
It's just a different era and I don't think big Brad thought some nerd would do whatever it takes to win elf sim.
