They are still selling record amount of oil to india and china. Russia isnt hurting and this graph really doesnt mean anything either because of course the value of the ruble to the dollar is going to be devalued when you make that trade illegal.
It would be like if there was law passed that all $20 dollar bills were no longer worth $20, but zero. The value of the $20 would be zero simply because it is no longer able to be traded with and isnt legal tender. That only works with money though, because you cant set the value of a real good to zero arbitrarily. Fuel for instance has a lot of intrinsic value, and it cant be arbitrarily devalued.
Additionally, the world is starved for fuel right now. We are heading into winter and its going to get worse, as we are already at $5.00 a gallon. Can you believe that? $5.00 fucking dollars. Russia is going to be just fine because they decided to keep producing oil to send to the EU all these years, while the EU castrated itself into become energy dependent on russia, just so they could look good to their oil hating constituents.. BTW it took germany almost a full year to get off russian oil.
