What I define as a bum is someone who is perfectly capable physically and mentally of working with local jobs available for their skillset (maybe only entry level if they have no skills or training), and are choosing not to work

im a bum for life. tried getting to the streets but hard to get there when surrounded by people that care about you. i am allergic to wage labor. makes me wanna die. strongly identified with Maynard G. Krebs as a child. i will be a boss or a bum i would say. now married with children i am both. manifestation.
drugs woulda gotten me to the steets. a bum without drugs is a bum. i bum on drugs is another animal.
